We are in Xi’an now. I like it much better than Beijing. It’s a prettier city with a beautiful wall around it, yet its still very polluted.

Yesterday we saw the terra-cotta warriors. Fascinating! I’ve been wanting to see them for a long time.

Last night we had a delicious dumpling dinner. I thought I would lose weight on this trip, but we’ve been eating quite a bit! I’m doing much better now that I’m eating vegetarian meals, and the tour manager is a vegetarian so that makes it much easier.

This morning we took a bike ride along the Xi’an city wall. That was great. The weather is getting warmer and it was nice to get some good exercise. Right now I feel like my legs are rock solid from all the stair climbing and my belly is jelly from all the dumplings!

This afternoon we fly to Shanghai.
